I've thought up some more good questions for this week's Monday Music Mambo. This week's theme is Brain Cell Reduction Day.

1. What kind of music, songs or artists do you listen to when you want to relax and use as few brain cells as possible?

I love to listen to electronic music (especially trance and ambient) when I want to put my mind to rest. There aren't any lyrics to think about, just beats to make you nod your head and tap your toes. I also love to listen to Jeff Buckley and the Afro Celt Sound System for relaxation.

2. Can you think of a lyric or two that makes the songwriter seem like he or she had a sudden drop in brain cells when he or she was writing the song?

"Oops, I did it again!" is quite the awful lyric. I'm going to assume Britney Spears had no hand in writing that one, and if she did then I worry for her.

"Come Together" by The Beatles is another one. It's a good song, don't get me wrong, but what was John thinking? He must have been high on something when he wrote those lyrics!

3. Sometimes a person completely misunderstands a lyric or can't think of the name of a song. We've all done it, there's no denying that. What are some of your greatest misheard lyric moments (or moments when you completely forgot the name of a song)? If you need some help, check out this site.

I do this so often, you have no idea. I'm really horrible about understanding what people are singing. One lyric I can think of in particular is "sandals" from the song "Tripping Billies" by Dave Matthews Band. Dave sometimes pronounces things in a very odd way, and when he says "sandals" it sounds like "san-doos."

For a long time, I had Beck's "Where It's At" listed in my mp3s as "Two Turntables and a Microphone." Someone had labeled it that way, and because I had forgotten the actual name of the song, I thought that was what it was called.

And now, because this is week 69 of the Mambo, a bonus question:

4. Who do you think has the sexiest singing voice? Could be male, female or both.

Aaliyah had a very sexy singing voice! Everything that came out of her mouth sounded like pure sugar. I also like Jayn Hanna, who sings on various club and techno songs. In fact, I really like the female vocalists on many of those songs. Lastly, I really love Ishtar from the group Alabina. She sings with such passion, even when she's singing in languages I do not understand.

I thought the misunderstood lyrics was a great question. There are so many out there that get posted wrong on lyrics sites :-). Good questions this week!
