Happy Monday everyone! Once again, it's time for the Monday Music Mambo. This week's mambo is British-themed because I saw the U.K. Hall Of Fame induction this weekend.

I'd like to encourage all my readers to play along on their blog, livejournal, myspace, whatever. We don't get too many people doing the mambo lately, and I'd love to see more participation. You can play whenever you want, even if you're reading this years from now. Just leave a comment on this post, and especially back at Bdinsanity (linked above) so that we know you played!

Here are the mambo questions:

1. Who are some of your favorite British bands and artists?

The Beatles (of course!), The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Mitch Mitchell of the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Coldplay, Portishead.

2. Who are some of your favorite Irish, Scottish and Welsh bands and artists?

Elvis Costello, The Chieftains, Damien Rice, Van Morrison, The Cranberries, The Corrs, Annie Lennox, Old Blind Dog, Shirley Manson, Natalie MacMaster (she's Scottish-Canadian, close enough), David Gray

3. What are some of your favorite songs by the above bands and artists?

The Beatles - Pretty much everything they ever did, at least the stuff I've heard. Especially "Getting Better," "Yesterday," "Hey Jude," "A Day In The Life" and "Let It Be."

Rolling Stones - "Satisfaction," "Paint It Black," "Jumpin' Jack Flash," "Miss You," "Gimme Shelter," and "Sympathy For The Devil."

Led Zeppelin - "Gallows Pole," "Rock And Roll," "Four Sticks," "Kashmir."

Mitch Mitchell's best drumming is on "Wait Until Tomorrow"

Coldplay - "Trouble," "Clocks," "Fix You," "White Shadows," "The Scientist," "Warning Sign."

Portishead - "Mourning Air" and "Glorybox"

Elvis Costello - "When I Was Cruel Pt. 2," "Episode Of Blonde," "45," "What's So Funny About Peace, Love And Understanding."

The Corrs - "Breathless," "I Didn't Love You Anyway."

Ok, you get the picture.

4. Are you a mod, a psychadelic, a glam rocker or a punk?

I'm slightly mod, slightly pyschadelic, and a little punk when I feel like it. Actually, I'd probably be one of those stuffy University types that listens to a lot of Radiohead.
