Welcome to the pond

I'm back from the University! I think I got a lot of good shots. I hope I did! I managed to shoot before the sun came out from the clouds. I'm not enough of a photography expert to know how that will affect my photos, but at least there won't be too many shadows or too much glare.

I also went to the art museum there to see the newly-opened Chinese and Japanese exhibits. Cool stuff! I didn't really give myself enough time to see the temporary exhibit of Japanese-themed wood-block prints, so a return visit is definitely in order!

Here's the Top Five On Friday:

Top 5 "Forgotten" Artists. (You know those bands that are still around but when you mention them people ask you if they are still recording or alive)

I think this list will be heavy on the rock and roll pioneers.

1) Jerry Lee Lewis. He's still alive, and definitely still rockin'
2) Chuck Berry. I don't know if he's still rockin', but he's still around for sure.
3) Fats Domino. He survived the hurricane!
4) Axl Rose/Guns n Roses. Axl is still technically alive, but will he ever release another album? That's the question of the decade.
5) Jimmy Page. I know he's still around, but what's he been doing lately? Is he still recording, or has he retired and devoted his life to magic?
