The meal may be over, but the giving of thanks is still going strong at Music Memoirs with the Top Five On Friday:
Top 5 musical things that you are thankful for
1) I'm mostly thankful for music itself. Even the bad stuff. Life would not be as interesting or bearable without music.
2) I'm very thankful for the Afro Celt Sound System. Not only do they make the most wonderful and beautiful sounds, but they're also great people who take the time to interact with and listen to their fans.
3) I'm thankful for Jimi Hendrix. This past year, Jimi's music has exploded into my heart and mind. I'll never be the same again!
4) I'm thankful for the awesome concerts I saw this year: BeauSoleil, Jonny Lang, Keri Noble, Taarka, The Chieftains, and very soon Nickel Creek and Andrew Bird.
5) Last but not least, I'm thankful for all the music-loving friends I have. I may not check out all of their recommendations, but I admire the passion they have for the artists they love.
