Welcome, one and all, to the first official installment of what I'm going to call:

Flickr Fun Saturday

Today I'm going to give you even more St. Patrick's Day photo links! I'll try to show shots from a variety of cities.

First up is a man in a bagpiper's uniform in New York City. He seems to have stopped for a brief chat with someone in the audience. Look at all the stuff he had to put on to get dressed up for this! Thankfully St. Patrick's Day is not in summer.

From Cleveland, Ohio comes this hilarious shot of Star Wars storm troopers all decked out in green. I have no idea what Star Wars has to do with St. Patrick's, but there they are anyway.

Look at this cute little dog dressed as a leprechaun! I wonder if he gets green dog biscuits?

This is a shot from last year's St. Patrick's Day in Chicago. It's as good a shot as any of the Chicago River dyed green. I wonder if the green gets filtered out before it becomes drinking water?

Here's another shot from Chicago - green water coming up from the Daley Center fountain! How pretty!

Ever wonder where corned beef comes from? Irish cows, of course!

Lastly, a couple shot from the festivities in Dublin. First is a shot of some colorful costumes worn by some marchers in the parade, and the second is some people who really know how to dress up for St. Patrick's Day!


I'm going to do this every Saturday, each week with a different theme, I think. Maybe once in a while I'll make it random. Whatever the case, I'll be linking to some really cool photographs!
