Welcome to the pond

Random thoughts on a Wednesday afternoon:

- One of my cats is at the veterinarian right now. He's got an oozing owie on his left arm, so we took him in. Hopefully they can fix him up and get it healed. Thankfully, it doesn't seem to hurt him too much because he's acting like nothing's wrong.

- This weekend I might be going to the annual Friends of the Eugene Library Used Book Sale. Thousands of books for a dollar each! You can't beat that.

- This Monday I'm going to see the Savoy-Doucet Cajun Band with my moms and possibly a friend too. Michael Doucet, leader of BeauSoleil, is one of the band members. Maybe I'll get to meet him again?! Maybe I'll get a photo with him?! We'll see what happens.

- Today I tried out Trillian, the all-in-one messenger service. I'm not impressed, because it treats Yahoo! screennames as seperate accounts. I have different people talking to me on different names, so that kind of behavior is not good. *sigh* I guess I'll just stick to seperate messengers for now. Also, while viewing the help forums for Trillian, I've noticed that a lot of people have problems using Yahoo! through Trillian, so maybe this is not a good idea.

- My birthday is in less than three weeks. I'm getting a digital camera for sure (I asked my mom, and it has arrived) so now I have to get a memory card, battery charger and some spare batteries if I can afford them. I'm still trying to decide whether to print photos out with my own printer (which has TINY ink cartridges) or get prints at Wal-Mart or wherever. I do think you can bring in a CD-ROM or something and get them printed out from that. What do you think? Which would cost less?
