Today is one of my favorite days of the week - Friday! One of the reasons I love Fridays so much is the Top Five On Friday. Here's this week's:

Top 5 Songs And/Or Albums That Get You Going

There are many interpretations of "get you going." My interpretation will be the urge to play along with the song because you're digging it so much. Here are my top five rock/blues songs that always make me get out the air guitar

1) "I Think You Know" by Duke Robillard. This song is just amazing. Duke's guitar playing gets so intense that I always play right along with him, getting a good "guitar face" in the process.

2) "Red House" by Jimi Hendrix. Any version will do, but the Isle of Wight version is especially delicious.

3) "Little Wing" by Stevie Ray Vaughan. Jimi's version of the song is great, too, but Stevie Ray's interpretation jacks up the guitar-playing intensity quite a few notches.

4) "The End" by The Beatles. What a way to end! I admit I haven't heard much of The Beatles' work, but this song is where they shred the best from what I've heard.

5) "Rock and Roll" by Led Zeppelin. This is as fun as rock gets, folks. You can try to resist playing along with Jimmy Page, but you'll never succeed.
