Welcome to the pond

Busy day today!! First I went out to lunch with my grandparents. We went to Red Robin and I had the bacon cheeseburger. Good stuff!! We had a great time there.

Then, I got my hair cut. No more long hair bugging me! Now I look like Drew Carey again lol.

My parents are going to Mexico for twelve days, so we went to the store to get me some food to eat while they're gone. I stopped in the electronics department while I was there and looked for the k.d. lang CD. It's not there! I know they've had it before, so I don't can't explain why I can't find it in TWO different stores. This is really getting annoying. They had some CDs selling for $7 apiece so I'm returning tomorrow to pick one up! I might as well at that price.

I've been listening to my new CDs for a few days now, and I'm REALLY enjoying the Green Day! I bought "American Idiot," to refresh your memory. It's not a typical Green Day album (meaning there aren't too many songs that would be considered "punk"). They've moved beyond punk and experiment with a few different styles on the album. Billie Joe has written some VERY catchy song and anthems. I'm sure you've all heard about the 9-minute suites on either end of the album. They are both very awesome, especially "Jesus of Suburbia"! I highly recommend this album and I think it deserved the Grammy it won. The songs will grow on you with a few listens and you'll be hearing them in your head wherever you go.
