It's late and I'm bored, so I'm listening to "Are You Experienced?" just for the drumming. In the last year or so, I've been getting very interested in drumming. Mitch Mitchell is definitely one of my favorite rock drummers, as well as Jimmy Chamberlain of the Smashing Pumpkins. While I'm in this drumming mood, I'm going to poll you all and ask . . .
Who are your favorite drummers? They don't necessarily have to be rock drummers. What are some songs with good drumming in them that I should check out? I want to learn more about the great drummers in music history and learn about them and maybe make a mix CD or two. So let's hear your drumming recommendations!

I don't know his name, but the drummer for Def Leppard has got to be the most inspiring and so good too.
