Welcome to the pond

I don't know how this slipped under my radar, but Nickel Creek is back with a new album!

I was watching CMT's video countdown while flipping through channels when I heard a teaser for a video premiere by Nickel Creek, the awesome young bluegrass trio whom I saw live last year. Sure enough, there was a new video for the new single "When In Rome," which of course means a new album! I just looked on their website and yes, they have a new album coming out very soon!

"Why Should The Fire Die?" will be released on August 9. I am so excited it's coming out so soon, and I definitely plan on buying it when it does. It's packed with a whopping 14 songs! I've listened to all the sound clips of the songs on Amazon.com, and they sound really good! It looks like the band has made a very diverse album with their fullest sound yet. It might turn out to be their best album so far, although their debut will be very hard to beat. In any case, bring on the new Nickel Creek, and hopefully a tour with a stop in Eugene!
