My brother married his girlfriend this afternoon. They've been together for a few years now and I was so happy to see them finally join their lives together as one. I was the best man, and I didn't really have to do much except stand with my brother during the ceremony, sign the marriage certificate as a witness and give a speech/toast before the cake cutting. I gave them a pretty good speech and people complimented me on it, but I actually forgot part of what I was going to say! It still turned out well though, because it was from the heart.
The ceremony was held in the tiny backyard of their tiny apartment. The parents, grandparents and siblings saw the ceremony and aunts and uncles came by later for the reception. It was a nice little gathering, chaotic and cramped but nice nonetheless. Everyone ate plenty and had a slice of cake. The babies got a lot of attention and were very obsessed with the gift boxes.
This is the first time any of my siblings or cousins have been married, which is pretty cool! Funny that it was my brother, out of all of us, that would get married first. Anyway, I had a good time and was honored to be the best man.

Congrats to your brother!
what, no pics???? ;)
a) I'm very nervous about posting pics of my family online and
b) I take pics with a camera that uses film. So if I was to post anything, we'd have to wait until they get developed.
