Record labels today are fairly pathetic. They want to make a profit and nothing more, and they can't even get their own release dates right!
The Afro Celts' new album, Anatomic, was first announced as being released on September 10. Odd, because that's a weekend and not a Tuesday. New releases in the U.S. are always released on Tuesday. The HMV website for the UK listed Anatomic as being released on September 5. That makes a bit more sense because that would be a Monday, with the U.S. getting the album the next day.
Now, Real World Records' website lists the album as going on sale on another Monday, October 3! So which is it, September or October? Will there ever be official word on exactly when the album is being released? I do want to support Real World as best I can because they've given the Afro Celts a home (who knows what a bigger label would do with the band?) but I am not alone is getting quite fed up with the unprofessional attitude coming out of those offices. From under-promotion of albums to inability to give adequate official information, to the lack of an official afrocelts.com website, Real World has not performed to the standard by which all fans should hold record labels. I really hope they can turn things around and do the band justice, because the band could very well leave if they really wanted to.

I utterly agree with you, I too have been patiently waiting for the offical site that was "under construction" 3 years ago!
Also, it is also bad that like you said where you look you seem to be getting a different source for when its going to be released.
I am inclined to believe Sepetember 5th is accurate since they always said it would be late summer, October is not late summer, thats early autumn!!!
Also your point about it being released on a Monday here as all records are, and on Tuesday like they always are in the US would fit.
Thanx for shedding osme lgiht on the issue and letting me know there are other people out there who feel the same as me!!
