After all the bad, depressing news, I need a little fun on this blog. So here's a meme I snagged from my good pal Andrea:
List five songs that you are currently digging - it doesn't matter what genre they are from, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying right now. Post these instructions and the five songs (with artist) in your blog. Then tag five people to see what they're listening to.
1) "Entertain" by Sleater-Kinney
2) "What's Mine Is Yours" by Sleater-Kinney
Sleater-Kinney is one kickass band no matter what gender the members are. Women can rock just as hard as men, and S-K sure can rock. I think I'm going to get their latest album eventually.
3) "Sugar, We're Going Down" by Fall Out Boy. This song is so hard to resist, and it has a very cool video to boot.
4) "All These Things That I've Done" by The Killers. It's so different from The Killers' previous singles. It builds and builds and doesn't sound at all like any other single on the charts. Give these guys some props for originality.
5) "Living On A Prayer" by Bon Jovi. I'm putting this in just because it's what I'm listening to right now. Also, it seems rather timely considering what's going on in New Orleans and Mississippi right now.

Oh I didn't mean it in a bad way! However, I'm sure there are probably some out there who still think females don't belong in rock bands, and that's just sad.
