Welcome to the pond

Blogger/Google finally has a blog search engine. It's about time! Google owns Blogger, so you'd think they would have made something like this earlier. I've used it a couple times already, and it's not perfect but it could definitely be useful.

Here's the Wednesday Mind Hump:

Let's hump it up by celebrating the recent Clean Out Your Junk Drawer Day.

Yes, we all have junk drawers. Go to yours and list some of the items (or all of the items if you dare) that's in your junk drawer.

For a little extra fun, tell us why you're saving some of that "junk" or if some of those items bring back any memories.

I have a lot of junk, but it's not all in a drawer! Here's a partial list of the crap I keep in this place.

Computer Desk: CD wallets; Discman; a friendship card; a UO duck figurine sitting on top of the subwoofer; mug with pens, a sharpie and nail clippers; my mail; blank CD-Rs; a writing pad and various other pieces of paper; my personal organizer; and right now, a tube of hydrocortisone from when I had bug bites.

My other desk: Alarm clock; pills; q-tips; toothpaste; paper hole puncher; scissors; pens; camera; toilet paper; instruction books for several things; coupons; keys; box of change; magazines and various mail; more pills, eyedrops, deodorant

Around my TV: cat treats (high up so the cats don't climb up to get to them); an m&m-filled glass thing (gift from a friend); stuffed duck pillow hanging over the TV; U of Oregon boots (another gift); replica viking ship that wobbles (gift from my grandmother); kleenex; a wooden house model (another gift from a friend); random pictures; a Wayne Gretzky hockey card; and a mini bottle of ketchup.

The actual junk drawer: A ton of office supplies. tape; notepads; spare glasses; tin whistle; more instruction books.

Why do I keep all this stuff around? Because I might need it, and because I'm a packrat!
