It's Monday, so that means it's time to Mambo!

1. You're making a musical bittersweet chocolate with almonds candy bar. Who's the bittersweet, who's the chocolate, and who's the almonds?

Bittersweet - Elliot Smith
Chocolate - Sarah McLachlan, she's so sweet!
Almonds - Alice Cooper. He's nutty, but sophisticated at the same time.

That's the only theme-related question I can think of today, so the rest will be grab-bag questions.

2. What song has a bassline so tight and mean it makes you feel dirty all over?

I've learned to love "Money" by Pink Floyd because of that darn bass groove! It gets in your head and will NEVER leave! Another one that's really doing it for me lately is "LA Woman" by The Doors. That bassline really drives the whole song.

3. Was there an artist or album that your parents would NOT allow you to even THINK about listening to when you were a kid?

I was not allowed to listen to 2 Live Crew, those dirty dirty boys from Miami. Of course, that's what I listened to when I wasn't at home, thanks to my in-the-know friend who introduced me to a lot of things my parents would probably not like. I also don't think they liked Guns n Roses, but GNR was on MTV a lot so I was still exposed to them.

4. If you could be a musical instrument, which one would you be? This is a hard decision because no matter what you choose, someone's gonna be either plucking you, beating you, or blowing into you!

I'm probably most like the bass guitar. The bass mostly blends in with everything else, but in the right hands and right situation it can rise and shine on its own. It's not understood by many, but those who love it, love it a lot. It's simple yet complex at the same time.

What instrument would I actually WANT to be? Maybe a violin, so I could have Deni Bonet handling me all day!
