Today I got to take part in a rather awesome sale at my usual music store! The U of Oregon Ducks and Oregon State U Beavers played their football game yesterday, and the music store had a sale on used CDs today, and only today, based on how many points the Ducks beat the Beavers by. The UO beat the Beavers by a whopping 42 points, so used CDs were 42% off today! The prices were SUPER low because of that promotion. I ended up buying two Smashing Pumpkins albums (Adore and Pisces Iscariot), and a CD for a friend for Xmas. I thankfully was able to go there when the store opened so that I could have the best selection to choose from.
Amazingly, I have purchased eight - EIGHT! - CDs in the last two months. I'm on a roll!
Thanks to my new purchases, today's Random Ten will be full of Smashing Pumpkins songs.

Wow, that's a score on the CD sale. I suppose the store didn't expect such a lopsided win. If they had a sale like that in the Twin Cities, a riot would break out.
I've done a lot of CD purchasing...all in the last week too!
Holy cow! 42 percent off of used CDs! I'm surprised you didn't buy more. Earlier this year, the music store down the street closed up shop and they had a 50 percent off fire sale. Unfortunately, I went on the last day, but ended up with two Everclear CDs and a CD from The Rentals.
damn, too bad they didn't win by 100 points! lol
